First week at work.

It's Sunday. I've spent the better part of the day running errands and doing chores. I went down to Walmart this morning and picked up 3 out of 5 prescriptions. I gotta go back later in the week to get my other two scripts. While I was there I also picked up some razors and a pair of sweat pants. My Goal for December is to go to the gym everyday its open. Walk 5 miles. And then call it a day. It's not just a goal for December... but an ongoing goal for the next year or so. I recently heard a story from a Musician who told me he lost 77 pounds in 8 Months by Cutting out Booze... Walking 5 miles every day on the Treadmill... and Counting Calories. So I figure if a guy in his 60's could do it... why can't I?

I cleaned up the house today and vacuumed around the litter boxes. Also I made the bed, and hung back up the spice rack which had fallen down about a month ago. It's drilled into the studs so that should mean that it wont fall out anytime soon. I'm waiting for the Laundry machines to become available so I can start doing laundry. I don't know if I have enough detergent to do two loads... but that's about as much Laundry as i have... so I may be running out later to get more detergent so I can finish my laundry.

I beat Doom for PS4 this week. I promptly bought doom eternal on the PS Store because it was on sale for 15 bucks. Katie wants us to be Donkey Kong 64 before starting Doom Eternal So i am hoping we can get that done within the next two weeks. It's surprising  how difficult the old N64 games were. I would much rather fight a cyber demon than deal with a Jack in the Box.

My first week at work went well. Monday and Tuesday I was shadowing one of the expeditors. Wednesday I was shadowing one of the level 1 techs... and Thursday and Friday I was working independently. Next week I have Thursday and Friday off for the Thanksgiving Holiday. I am looking forward to my first pay check to see how much I'm actually earning. My Medical and Dental kick in January 1st. Then in March my 401k kicks in. They do a decent Match at that point so I'm going to put in the additional to make it a total of a 10% contribution. A few years of that should give me a decent amount in my 401k. I've got quite a way to go considering I've had to cash out several times over the years. A choice I now regret.

Tomorrow night I am going over my Cousin's to help her finish up her Mac. I had gone over a few weeks back and set her up with her own profile on it, as well as gotten rid of some old software and removed a few user accounts. Now I have to go over and install the latest version of Mac OSX and make sure that her photo's sync with her MacBook and Cell Phone. Most of the time is going to be spent waiting rather than doing any actual work. Generally I turn down food when it's offered. Something that was sorta engrained in my head for an unknown reason. But tomorrow if she offers food I'm going to take her up on the offer. Tuesday Katie and I are going to go see House of Gucci because it looks really good and Katie has a thing for Adam Driver. Wednesday night I think we are going to go pick up my scripts (if they are ready). Thursday is Thanksgiving dinner at my Parents... and I'm off Friday so no plans other than maybe cleaning up the house.

Tonight when Katie gets home from work we are going to be going for a walk, As well as going to Job Lot to get Socks. I found all week that my feet were freezing in the office but she got me thermal socks and that seems to help a bit, so we are going to go buy more pairs. For dinner tonight I am either making Stir Fry Vegetables with Chicken Substitute, or we are going to have Veggie Burgers. I am not sure which one yet. I will likely go with the Veggie Burgers and do the stir fry Wednesday Night.

That's about all I can think of.

A lot of planning...

So, seeing as I'm now out of work again I figure my current system isn't working. If i want to be successful in business and in life, then i need to get my basics down. Recently, I've started making sheets on excel to track what I'm doing everyday. they range everything from Diet and exercise to mood and symptoms. If i don't start tracking this stuff then I'm never going to make progress. While it's easy to put these items into practice using 1000s of apps... i found that just writing it all down on a few excel spreadsheets and tracking it by hand several times a day is a lot easier to remember. And it gets me off my phone. Lately I've be "Doom Scrolling" without any real purpose and what ends up happening is eventually the AI algorithm starts showing me videos of people dying in car crashes. Not exactly what makes me happy ya know. So I've got my lists and that's what I'll be working on for the foreseeable future while i attempt t...

A Bit of Hope on a Cloudy Afternoon.

Tonight we are heading over our friends' house to have dinner and hang out for a while. December 10th isn't really a memorable date. But every year around this time of year things start to happen that give tiny moments like these a real feeling of warming. Today even, it was nearly 60 degrees at one point today and it made this brutal cold seem bearable. It's not safe to be outside during the darkest of winter. Cold brings out the worst in people, and overall it's hard to handle because it also brings out the despair in people. Merge the two together and you could be looking at a cold dark society which emerges in the spring jaded working every year to bring happiness into ones life only to suffer the cold dark winter the following year. Today i have hope though. Recently i was inspired after talking with people that care about me. The best part is... a renewed sense of hope can alter the mind in such a way... it's better than any drug or substance that you can use ...

No Sooner Did I Say....

No sooner did i mention that I have a new job, was i laid off for excessive days off. It's really for the birds. Here i am a disabled person who wants to work... and I've had an incredibly hard time hold down a job this year. Whether it be manic episodes due to the medication my doctor put me on, or the company pulling a bait and switch and finding due to that I'm not qualified for the position, to being out sick a couple of days and getting let go... this year has been terrible. While I've had frequent thoughts of a permanent "Out" for myself from this life... it would seem like a waste to get from an unsuccessful suicide attempt in 2008 to giving it another go 17 years later. I feel like if i survived the first attempt... then i must be here on this planet for some reason so i need to make the best of my time. Even in poor health, an optimistic attitude can make the difference between healing or not.   I don't know what my plan is now. But, i know that ...
