2 months

Two months has gone by now since i last wrote an entry. A bits changed since early august. My noisy downstairs neighbors moved out during September so there is a lot more quiet in the house. I'm still living in providence with a roommate and while his daily habits leave much to be desired... its better than still being at my parents. Not that my parents are bad people... i just felt that it was time to move on. I've been on the job just about three months now. Overall i have no complaints. Each day offer its own unique set of challenges i have to work through and its better than sitting around doing nothing. My boss is a good guy. And my coworker and i have interesting conversations about investing and stocks... aside from briefly skimming through our personal lives. Disability is set to run out soon. For anyone thats not aware... when you are on disability and return back to work they give you a grace period before the checks run out. I've had to adjust my work taxes as a result of this because disability isnt taxed so at the end of the year im gonna end up owing money unless its been set correctly. Mentally im doing better. I find i have less issues with hallucinations. They come and go but i've doing a better job of handling it. Truth be told its getting to a point where the medication is in full effect and theres no need to change the dosage. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow for a routine check up. I find if i drink it makes my symptoms worse so i've been doing my best not to drink. one or two on the weeks really... but trying my best not to get plastered. Its bad for my liver anyways. The medication metabolizes in my liver and drinking can reduce its effectiveness.

Things are good with my girlfriend. We made 10 months today. Next weekend i am going to NH with her to see the foliage and go hiking. I really do care about her a lot. And i hope that when we make our 1 year i can think of something special to do with her. I've been switching off between spending time at my house and sleeping over her house. We have a plan of moving in together next summer... When her lease is up we are planning on getting an apartment together.

Financially im getting back on track. With the two income sources i am able to save some money every month and pay my bills on time. I've been paying down my debts and as i get hit with new letters from companies i might have owed years ago... im able to setup plans for rapid repayment. Ideally i'd like to move in with my girlfriend with only my car and student loans that i have to pay back... with a few grand in the bank as a buffer... and as of right now thats what it looks like is going to happen. Then while im living with her spend the time and effort to rebuild my credit so that way in a few years we can buy a house together. I've got a couple of tiny income sources which are paying me too. Mainly from apps on my phone. It's not a lot... maybe 10-15 extra bucks a month.. but over the course of a year its a couple hundred dollars. Really im trying to earn more money that that... but i've yet to find any side hustle that is going to be substantial. My side computer repair stuff hasnt been active since the summer... and no one has contacted me asking if i wanted to help with landscaping. I thought about signing up for lyft and renting a car from them to go driving... but my understanding is that i would have to do 50-60 rides in order to get to break even.

The ultimate goal for saving money is to start reducing the number of times i eat out... and also to quit smoking. I dont yet know how or when i am going to do those things... but if i can do that i'd save 500-600 a month. I think i just need do it.

A lot of planning...

So, seeing as I'm now out of work again I figure my current system isn't working. If i want to be successful in business and in life, then i need to get my basics down. Recently, I've started making sheets on excel to track what I'm doing everyday. they range everything from Diet and exercise to mood and symptoms. If i don't start tracking this stuff then I'm never going to make progress. While it's easy to put these items into practice using 1000s of apps... i found that just writing it all down on a few excel spreadsheets and tracking it by hand several times a day is a lot easier to remember. And it gets me off my phone. Lately I've be "Doom Scrolling" without any real purpose and what ends up happening is eventually the AI algorithm starts showing me videos of people dying in car crashes. Not exactly what makes me happy ya know. So I've got my lists and that's what I'll be working on for the foreseeable future while i attempt t...

A Bit of Hope on a Cloudy Afternoon.

Tonight we are heading over our friends' house to have dinner and hang out for a while. December 10th isn't really a memorable date. But every year around this time of year things start to happen that give tiny moments like these a real feeling of warming. Today even, it was nearly 60 degrees at one point today and it made this brutal cold seem bearable. It's not safe to be outside during the darkest of winter. Cold brings out the worst in people, and overall it's hard to handle because it also brings out the despair in people. Merge the two together and you could be looking at a cold dark society which emerges in the spring jaded working every year to bring happiness into ones life only to suffer the cold dark winter the following year. Today i have hope though. Recently i was inspired after talking with people that care about me. The best part is... a renewed sense of hope can alter the mind in such a way... it's better than any drug or substance that you can use ...

No Sooner Did I Say....

No sooner did i mention that I have a new job, was i laid off for excessive days off. It's really for the birds. Here i am a disabled person who wants to work... and I've had an incredibly hard time hold down a job this year. Whether it be manic episodes due to the medication my doctor put me on, or the company pulling a bait and switch and finding due to that I'm not qualified for the position, to being out sick a couple of days and getting let go... this year has been terrible. While I've had frequent thoughts of a permanent "Out" for myself from this life... it would seem like a waste to get from an unsuccessful suicide attempt in 2008 to giving it another go 17 years later. I feel like if i survived the first attempt... then i must be here on this planet for some reason so i need to make the best of my time. Even in poor health, an optimistic attitude can make the difference between healing or not.   I don't know what my plan is now. But, i know that ...
